In accordance with the decree of the head of the Donetsk People's Republic Denis Pushilin dated July 11, 2022 No. 375, a memorable date was established on July 27 "The Day of Remembrance for Children Victims of the War in Donbass". In this regard, the online conference was held in the Donetsk People's Republic on Wednesday, in which Tatyana Tskhovrebova, Commissioner for Children's Rights under the President of the Republic of South Ossetia, became a participant.
The conference was attended by many speakers, in particular, members of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the DPR, leaders of factions, representatives of the administrations of Donetsk, Gorlovka, Makeevka, heads of various public organizations, Ministry of Culture of the DPR, commissioners for human and child rights, etc.
“Participants read out reports on the situation in Donbas. The main purpose of the teleconference was to draw the attention of the world community to the death of innocent children.
In commemoration of this memorable and mournful date, near the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Tskhinval, participants in the children's summer day camp "Solnyshko" launched 130 white balloons into the sky - so many children died in the Donbas since 2014 due to shelling by the armed forces of Ukraine, "- Tskhovrebova said.
The Commissioner for Children's Rights expressed confidence that the world community will hear about this tragedy and will do everything necessary for the reign of peace.
As a result of the event, a resolution will be adopted to prevent the death of children.
