Professor of the Alexandra Tibilov South Ossetian State University, Head of the Department of Biology, Head of the Laboratory of Biomedical Research of the University Teimuraz Kokoev received an invitation to two international conferences, which will be held simultaneously in Taiwan from October 28 to November 1 this year.

“The first conference will be held under the name "The Eleventh International Multi-Conference on Engineering and Technological Innovation", and the second - "The Seventh International Conference on Advanced Innovative Technologies". I will take part, most likely, in the second scientific forum, I am preparing a report on the processing of plant materials, we are talking about obtaining biologically active substances and medicines. This is now a hot topic in the scientific world, moreover, we are talking about waste-free production,” said Teimuraz Iskakovich.
According to him, the invitation to such a prestigious conference is a good opportunity for South Ossetian science to make itself known at the world level.
“Last year, I was invited to Japan, to the III World Conference “Plant Biology – 2021”, unfortunately, the coronavirus pandemic did not allow me to take part in it, but I sent the abstracts of the report, which were also devoted to the processing of plant raw materials, and they were published in the final materials of the scientific forum. Obviously, this year's invitation is related to the interest in my scientific work,” said Kokoev.
As noted by him, the selection of participants is usually based on publications in the English-language editions of the Web of Science platform, which takes into account mutual citation of publications by world scientists.
“I have been sending English translations of my scientific articles to this resource for a long time. Apparently, the organizers of the conferences pay attention to the frequent citations by scientists from different countries. In addition, patents play a certain role, I have them, including those joint with the Russian scientists. These conferences are a prestigious platform in the world of science and it is gratifying to note the invitation of a representative of our Republic," Kokoev said.
Professor of the South Ossetian State University Teimuraz Isakovich Kokoev - Candidate of Biology Honored Scientist of the Republic of South Ossetia, Honorary Doctor of the Artsakh and Abkhaz State Universities, Honored Worker of Education of the Republic of North Ossetia - A, Academician of the International Academy of Sciences of Ecology and Life Safety (MANEB), full member of the intellectual club of the fundamental library at the M. V., Lomonosov Moscow State University, co-founder of the Association of Universities of Self-Determined States. He was awarded the Order of the Star of the MANEB Scientist and the title of Honored Scientist.

Academician Teimuraz Kokoev was awarded the Kosta Khetagurov Prize for the book "Russian-Ossetian Encyclopedic Dictionary of Biology and Medicine. Neologisms and a system of terms" - the result of colossal work over several years. The book has become a real breakthrough in Ossetian linguistics.
