NCFU will hold the youth forum in South Ossetia

The North Caucasian Federal University is organizing an international youth forum on the preservation of historical memory in South Ossetia. More than 100 young people will take part, the information department of the university told reporters.

"The concept of interstate youth events is under development. At the end of September of this year, the international youth forum "Preservation of historical memory in the context of global changes" will be held, which will be attended by more than 100 young people from South Ossetia, Russia, Abkhazia and other states, "the message reads.

During a working trip to South Ossetia, rector of the University, Dmitry Bespalov, , met with the President of the Republic, Alan Gagloev. A working meeting was also held with the rector of the South Ossetian State University, Vadim Tedeev.

As IA "Res" has been informed by the press service of the South Ossetia State University, at the meeting it was discussed programs for advanced training and retraining for employees of the South Ossetia State University. On the agenda was the issue of holding the International Youth Forum "Preservation of historical memory in the context of global changes" on the basis of South Ossetia State University in September this year. The forum is held on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of South Ossetia State University and the 10th anniversary of NCFU.

A number of issues on cooperation in the field of education, science and youth policy were discussed.

With the support of university specialists, the education system is being modernized in South Ossetia. Since 2013, the NCFU experts have prepared 14 draft legal acts for the Republic, including the draft law "On Education", adopted in 2017. Over the past five years, more than 2,500 teachers and civil servants of South Ossetia have completed advanced training courses organized by the Federal University.
