The Defense Minister of South Ossetia, Colonel Marat Pavlov, Deputy Ministers, officers of the military authorities, personnel of the units are mourning and express their condolences to the family, relatives and friends of Dzhussoev Albert Alikovich, who died a heroic death during the Russian special military operation. This was reported by the press service of the Defense Ministry.
Albert Dzhussoev was born on September 17, 1985 in the city of Tskhinval. In 2007 he entered the Military Training and Research Center of the Ground Forces "Combined Arms Academy of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation", graduating with success in 2012. He continued his military service in the Armed Forces of the Republic of South Ossetia. He was serving in various positions.
While serving in the national army, he proved himself as a responsible and competent officer, a high-level specialist.
Since 2018, he had been doing military service under a contract in the ranks of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation as part of the 4th Russian military base.
Albert Dzhussoev - the officer of the reconnaissance group, died heroically, sacrificing his life to save his comrades in the course of a combat mission in the Zaporozhye direction. The group was ambushed by the enemy, a fierce battle ensued, Albert Dzhussoev was seriously wounded, lost part of his lower limb. Realizing that the fighters would die, saving him, he ordered to leave him a grenade and retreat, he covered his colleagues while he was able. Albert Dzhussoev perished after destroying the enemy group.
The body of the hero was found 14 days later, it was possible to identify him only through DNA analysis.
The funeral of Albert Dzhussoev will be held in Tskhinval on Tuesday.
