Chairman of the Government of South Ossetia Konstantin Dzhussoev, Deputy Chairman of the Government Dzambolat Tadtaev and Ambassador of the RSO to the Russian Federation Znaur Gassiev took part in the Great Consecration of the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Kulishki (Alan courtyard) of Moscow and the Divine Liturgy, conducted by His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, the press service of the executive body reports.
"Before the beginning of the Liturgy, three altars of the temple were consecrated after restoration: the central one - in honor of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos, the right one - in honor of the Apostle and Evangelist John the Theologian, the left one - in honor of the Great Martyr Demetrius of Thessalonica.
The apostolic reading and the prayer "Our Father" were performed in the Ossetian language," the press service said.
His Holiness the Patriarch addressed the participants of the divine service Primatial word.
"After the end of the Liturgy, the dean of the Church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos on Kulishki, Priest Vyacheslav Dzheyranov, greeted His Holiness Patriarch Kirill and presented His Holiness with an icon of the Great Martyr George the Victorious with inscriptions in the Ossetian language," the government stressed.
The event was also attended by the Chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia, head of the LDPR faction in the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs Eduard Slutsky, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania - Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania under the President of the Russian Federation Igor Barskov and other officials.
