Deputies of the Parliament of South Ossetia unanimously supported the statement of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of Russia in connection with the execution of Russian prisoners of war by Ukrainian Nazis.
The question was brought to the session on Monday by the first vice-speaker of the parliament Petr Gassiev.
The statement says that the deputies of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation indignantly perceived the message about another bloody crime of the Kyiv regime –
"The cold-blooded murderers who opened fire on the unarmed lying prisoners of war were so sure of their impunity that they videotaped their criminal actions. The footage of the sadistic massacre, which became public, once again confirmed the Nazi essence of the Kiev authorities, which for a long time has been encouraging murder, torture, bullying against civilians and prisoners of war," the text says.
The authors of the document note that “the intentional killing of prisoners of war is a flagrant violation by Ukraine of international humanitarian law, including the Geneva Convention on the Treatment of Prisoners of War of 1949, and international human rights norms, including the Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment 1984".
"Deputies of the State Duma call on the parliaments of the world's states to unequivocally condemn the crimes of the Kyiv regime, to help bring to justice the direct perpetrators of the inhuman murder, as well as their patrons," the statement says.
Speaking on this issue, Peter Gassiev has criticized the collective West, which has been supporting the neo-Nazi ideology.
Once again, we offer the collective West to abandon support for neo-Nazi ideology and the embodiment of its principles in the activities of today's Ukraine, whose leaders are pushing the world towards a global catastrophe with their provocations and escalation of violence," Peter Gassiev said.
The decision adopted by the Parliament to support the statement of the State Duma will be sent to President of the Russian Federation, the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the Government of the Russian Federation, the Inter-Parliamentary Union, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of States - Members of the Commonwealth of Independent States, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, Parliaments of the Member States of the United Nations.
