South Ossetia and Russia have close and trusting relations, President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev said in an exclusive interview with Russia-24 TV channel.
"Russia has always supported South Ossetia. In August 2008, it practically saved our people from extermination. Since then, we feel and see Russia's support," the President said.
He has noted that more than 120 normative documents have been signed between the two states; relations between South Ossetia are successfully developing and strengthening.
"I would like to express my deep gratitude to the leadership of Russia for the constant and invaluable assistance to our Republic," the head of the South Ossetian state has noted.
