On Sunday, President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev congratulated Patriarch Porfiry of Serbia on his enthronement day, the press service of the head of state reports.
According to Gagloev, in the responsible post of the primate of the Serbian Orthodox Church, Porfiry invariably shows an example of firm protection of the interests of Orthodoxy.
"Your selfless work aimed at strengthening church peace and civil harmony deserves deep respect," the President said in the letter of congratulations.
Alan Gagloev wished Serbian Patriarch Porfiry good health, further success in high service in the patriarchal post for the benefit of the Serbian people and the Serbian Orthodox Church.
