President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev received on Wednesday the delegation of Abkhazia, which had arrived in the Republic, headed by Minister of Culture Daur Kove. Alan Gagloev greeted the guests, noting the importance of intercultural interaction.
“Our peoples had to go through a lot together, lending a brotherly shoulder to each other. Many representatives of the Ossetian people took part in the Patriotic War of Abkhazia, many of them were awarded a high award - the hero of Abkhazia,” the President said.
The head of state has stressed that the peoples of South Ossetia and Abkhazia are bound by same fate.
“We went through the trials that fell to our lot together, together we achieved recognition of the independence of our republics, and today, thanks to our strategic partner, the Russian Federation, we are developing further,” he has specified.
Alan Gagloev asked to convey his warmest wishes to his colleague, President Aslan Bzhaniya, and peace, prosperity and well-being to the people of Abkhazia.
Daur Kove, in turn, conveyed the wishes of well-being and prosperity to the people of South Ossetia from Aslan Bzhaniya.
“It is very important for us that today we have the opportunity, thanks to your support, to be in the fraternal republic and present a piece of our culture to all the people of South Ossetia,” he said.
Kove expressed his gratitude to Minister of Culture of South Ossetia Rada Dzagoeva, thanks to whom it became possible to organize the Days of Culture of Abkhazia in South Ossetia.
“We, in turn, are looking forward to the arrival of our fraternal groups in the Republic of Abkhazia,” he said.
The Days of Culture of Abkhazia in South Ossetia will be held for the first time on April 5-6.
