South Ossetia and Russia discussed the preparation of a legal framework for the provision of pensions for civil servants

Вопросы оказания методологической помощThe issues of providing methodological assistance to South Ossetia in creating a pension system for civil servants were discussed via videoconference by representatives of the Ministries of Justice and Health of the Republic of South Ossetia with the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation, the press service of the Ministry of Justice of South Ossetia reports.

“As part of the implementation of the agreements reached at the meeting of the President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev and Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak on February 8, 2023 in Moscow to provide methodological assistance to the Republic on the issue of creating a pension system for civil servants, the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Health and social development of the Republic have begun joint work with the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation,” the statement of the press service reads.

It has been added that in connection with this, a regular working meeting was held via videoconference with the Russian Ministry of Labor.

“During the meeting, the parties discussed the draft law “On pensions for state civil servants of the Republic of South Ossetia”, prepared by the Ministry of Justice. Attention was focused on the main provisions of the project, the mechanism for its implementation. Representatives of the Ministry of Labor of Russia expressed their proposals on the formation of an effective system of pensions for state civil servants,” the press service has emphasized.

The ministry noted that the parties plan to complete work on the preparation of the legal framework for the provision of pensions for civil servants by the middle of this year.
