Victory Day for the peoples of Russia and South Ossetia is a symbol of courage, heroism of the generation of winners - our fathers and grandfathers, who, by their feats of arms at the front and selfless work in the rear, ensured the Victory over the Nazi invaders. This is stated in the congratulatory address of President of Russia Vladimir Putin to the head of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
"I am sure that the memory of the glorious common history will continue to serve as a reliable basis for the development of friendly, allied relations between our states," the message of congratulations published on the official website of the South Ossetian leader reads.
Vladimir Putin conveyed his warmest congratulations to all veterans living in South Ossetia, as well as wishes of good health, good spirits and longevity.
