Vyacheslav Dzhabiev, Head of the Department of Socio-Economic Research of the South Ossetian Research Institute, took part online in the International Forum "For the World Without Nazism", held on Thursday in the city of Ufa.
As Dzhabiev told the IA “Res” the forum had been held in a very informative and rich atmosphere, the history of the emergence and development of modern neo-Nazi movements and what purpose they pursue had been presented.
“I made a welcoming speech at the plenary session of the forum. The report emphasized the role of Ossetians in the Great Patriotic War, both on the battlefields and in the rear, the struggle for existence with the fascist regime of Georgia in the newest period of history and the role of Ossetians in the special military operation at the present time,” he said.
The scientist has added the report examined the nature of chauvinism and xenophobia as a tool for dividing and playing off peoples, as well as a split within one nation, giving examples. The general mechanisms for preventing the occurrence and counteracting the development of such destructive currents have been outlined.
The conference was attended by both regions of Russia and neighboring countries: representatives of federal and regional state authorities and local self-government, the scientific community, expert practitioners, statesmen and public figures, teaching staff of educational organizations, students.
The forum was held in the following thematic areas: the anti-human nature of German Nazism, the consequences of the Nazi occupation for the peoples of the USSR; consideration of the results of the Nuremberg Tribunal: whether all crimes were punished; neo-Nazi currents of our time: the degree of spread and tools of counteraction.
The event ended with the awarding of the winners of the international competition of youth scientific works "Combating falsifications in relation to the course and significance of Russia's special military operation on the territory of Ukraine."
At the end of the forum, a meeting was organized between the delegation of the DPR and the LPR and the deputy corps of the State Assembly - the Kurultai of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
