South Ossetian State University plans to sign a cooperation agreement with the State Archive of Russia, said rector of the University Vadim Tedeev at the round table dedicated to the Ossetian Language Day.
As noted by Tedeev, the agreement will make it possible to use the resources of the State Archives of Russia.
“There is a lot of work to be done on this issue, but this is an important agreement that will give us many opportunities. They are ready to provide us with copies of all materials on South Ossetia. In addition, they are still digitizing materials and we hope for help in this matter, too,” Tedeev said.
The Rector has noted that already today the State Archive of Russia is ready to provide the South Ossetian side with some materials, noting that a separate vehicle will be needed for their transportation.
Where the signing of the agreement will take place, the rector has not yet announced. He has stressed that negotiations are underway on this issue.
