President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev and Director General of the Russian Export Center JSC (REC) Veronika Nikishina signed a memorandum that defines the main directions, forms and conditions for cooperation between the REC and the Republic in strengthening trade and economic relations, the press service of the head of state reports.
Veronika Nikishina noted that the signed memorandum would expand trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
“The Russian Export Center supports export deliveries to South Ossetia. So, at the end of 2022, the companies of the REC group supported Russian exports to the Republic for a total amount of more than $20.6 million. The signed memorandum will allow us to expand trade and economic cooperation between the two countries, including increasing exports of domestic goods to South Ossetia,” she has stressed.
For his part, Alan Gagloev said that South Ossetia planed to develop cooperation with the REC and increase trade between the countries.
“In 2022, South Ossetia increased exports to Russia by 40% compared to 2021. Russia is our main partner, and together with the Russian Export Center we plan to develop cooperation, bring it to a new level, increasing trade between our countries,” the President has noted.
