South Ossetian President Alan Gagloev sent a congratulatory telegram to Co-Presidents of the Republic of Nicaragua, Comandante Daniel Ortega and Mrs. Rosario Murillo, on the occasion of the 46th anniversary of the victory of the Sandinista Revolution, the press service of the head of state reports.
"On behalf of the Republic of South Ossetia and on my own behalf, I send you and the entire Nicaraguan people my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of the national holiday - Sandinista Revolution Day.
This significant day is a symbol of courage, fortitude and aspiration of the Nicaraguan people for freedom and justice," the congratulatory message reads.
According to the President, the 1979 Sandinista Revolution was a turning point in the history of the Republic of Nicaragua, opening the era of hope and change aimed at improving the lives of citizens, establishing social justice and strengthening national sovereignty.
"Today, Nicaragua continues to successfully moving forward along the path of progress and sustainable development. There is no doubt that the cohesion, solidarity and patriotism of the Nicaraguan people will contribute to comprehensive progress and strengthening the well-being of the country," the President has noted.
Gagloev has added that South Ossetia highly appreciates fraternal friendship and mutual understanding with the Republic of Nicaragua.
"We expect that the cooperation between our two states and peoples will continue to strengthen and expand in all areas of bilateral interaction," the head of state said.
