On Sunday, in Tskhinval, artists of the State Academic Bolshoi Theater of Russia performed in honor of the 85th anniversary of the People's Artist of the USSR Svetlana Adyrkhaeva.
Representatives of the leadership of South Ossetia headed by President Alan Gagloev, Russian Ambassador to South Ossetia Marat Kulakhmetov, ballet connoisseurs came to congratulate Svetlana Dzantemirovna on her anniversary.
The concert gathered a full hall; the applause of the grateful audience did not stop throughout the evening.
At the beginning of the event, the head of state congratulated the outstanding ballerina on her anniversary and awarded her honorary title of Honored Art Worker of South Ossetia for her true service to art.
“Today, for the first time, ballet dancers from the State Academic Bolshoi Theater of Russia are performing on the stage of the State Drama Theater of our Republic,” said Gagloev. “For South Ossetia, this is an extremely significant event; it is associated with the name of our compatriot, the outstanding ballerina, People's Artist of the Soviet Union Svetlana Adyrkhaeva.”
Gagloev expressed his gratitude to the artist for her invaluable contribution to the development of classical dance and wished her good health and many fruitful years in her creative work.
Svetlana Adyrkhaeva expressed gratitude to the leadership of the Republic for the warm welcome, noting that she was in Tskhinval for the second time.
“I used to come here with a concert when I was dancing myself,” she said. - I remember the warm and wonderful reception of my compatriots. This time I really wanted to be here with my students. And today we will show you their successes on the stage, the successes of the prima ballerinas of the Bolshoi Theatre.”
Marat Kulakhmetov also addressed words of gratitude for the long years of service to high art to Adyrkhaeva.
“The hospitable land of South Ossetia is today hosting a magnificent person whose life is inextricably linked with the great art of ballet. Svetlana Dzantemirovna devoted her whole life to serving art. She has excellent qualities - this is the integrity of her nature, grace, inner beauty, a special gift to be a teacher," the Ambassador emphasized.
He added that Adyrkhayeva had been the prima ballerina of the Bolshoi Theater for many years, and today she is working there with new generations of artists.
Then the artists of the Bolshoi Theater presented to the audience scenes from the ballet "Don Quixote", "Paquita", "The Legend of Love", "The Bird and the Hunter", "The Nutcracker", "Swan Lake", etc.
