We consider ourselves a part of the great country: a reception was held in Tskhinval in honor of the Day of Russia
In Tskhinval, at the Russian Embassy in South Ossetia, a solemn reception was held in honor of the Day of Russia.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to South Ossetia Marat Kulakhmetov has noted that June 12 is a significant day in the history of the state.
“Everyone who is present in this hall is involved in the holiday, because we are all from our one great Motherland. Happy holiday to you, Happy Russia Day!” the Ambassador said.
President of the Republic Alan Gagloev has reminded that in South Ossetia the Day of Russia is a public holiday.
“The majority of residents of our Republic are citizens of the Russian Federation. We consider ourselves part of the great country and value the relations that have developed between us,” he said.
The head of state has reminded that during the treacherous attack of Georgia on South Ossetia in 2008, Russia came to the rescue, preventing the complete extermination of the South Ossetian people.
“All the peoples of the Russian Federation once again have to defend the values that the older generations have left us. Together with the Russian servicemen, the fighters from Ossetia are again defending peace, tranquility and justice,” Gagloev has added.
On the festive day, President of South Ossetia wished peace, health, fulfillment of all desires and achievement of goals, for the benefit of our common Motherland.
