On Thursday, Rector of the Samara State Technical University Dmitry Bykov and a native of the Republic, entrepreneur, former head of the government of the RSO Rostislav Khugaev arrived in the capital of South Ossetia on a working visit.
During the visit, was signed a cooperation agreement between the Samara and South Ossetian universities.
The document was signed by Rector of the South Ossetian State University Vadim Tedeev and Rector of the Samara State Technical University Dmitry Bykov.
The event was attended by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of the South Ossetian State University Stanislav Gobozov, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Economics Yelkan Kharebov, Head of the Department of Engineering and Technical Disciplines Henrietta Namshuridze, Head of the Media Holding of the South Ossetian State University Alla Dzhioeva.
Vadim Tedeev told the guests about the life and activities of the University, about the achievements and plans of the South Ossetian State University.
"Our university performs an important task, we are responsible for providing the young republic with personnel. Thanks to the help and support of the Russian Federation, we are solving the tasks assigned to us with greater efficiency. We are also not asleep, we are doing everything possible so that our university moves forward with a confident step," Tedeev said.
He stressed that he would make every effort to ensure that cooperation between the South Ossetian State University and the SamSTU was as effective as possible.
Rector of the Samara Polytechnic University has emphasized that the signing of the document is the beginning of a long joint path.
“Any paper that we sign should be filled with life, concrete proposals that we will discuss today, and tomorrow we will be solving them,” he stressed.
Vadim Tedeev and Dmitry Bykov assured that they were ready for fruitful cooperation.
