A kind and sympathetic person, a true friend and reliable comrade- this is how the volunteer Ivanhoe Tekhov, perished in the special military operation zone, will be remembered. Almost everyone in Ossetia knew him, he was loved and respected.
On Saturday, South Ossetia paid last tributes to the fighter. The leadership of the Republic led by President Alan Gagloev, Speaker of the Parliament Alan Alborov, Minister of Defense Marat Pavlov, Russian Ambassador to the Republic Marat Kulakhmetov, comrades who had come from the special military operation zone, the public came to see Tekhov off on his last journey.
Many kind words were said about Ivanhoe at the funeral meeting. He was a support for his comrades-in-arms, the example of a real Ossetian. His family friend Zhora Kusraev noted that he was the personification of courage.
“He was a respected man, he was loved. For a long time he worked in the State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company "Ir". He was rewarded for good work. His father was also a fighter, was fighting in the Abkhaz war. Ivanhoe himself volunteered for Donetsk, where he showed unprecedented courage and resilience, was a real support for his comrades-in-arms,” Kusraev said.
Russian Ambassador to South Ossetia Marat Kulakhmetov has called Tekhov a real warrior who was looking into the eyes of the enemy without fear.
He was not afraid of death, he looked at the enemy with an open face, despised the enemy. Died like a hero. We must always remember such heroes as Ivanhoe,” Kulakhmetov said.
On behalf of the head of North Ossetia Sergey Menyailo, Ambassador Marat Kulakhmetov handed over a medal for courage and bravery to the family of the deceased.
Ivanhoe Tekhov was Deputy Commander of the Storm Ossetia battalion. Over the years, he was working as an operator at the State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company "Ir" and "Ossetia-Iryston". The warrior was 31 years old. A young son was left without a father.
By the decree of President Ivanhoe Tekhov was awarded (posthumously) the Medal "Defender of the Fatherland".
