South Ossetia highly appreciates the friendly South Ossetian-Nicaraguan relations and is deeply grateful to the leadership and people of Nicaragua for their invaluable support in one of the most difficult periods in the history of the young state. This is stated in the congratulatory message of President Alan Gagloev to Nicaraguan leader Daniel Ortega on the 44th anniversary of the victory of the Sandinista Revolution.
Gagloev has stressed that the courageous Nicaraguan people have repeatedly proved that they are always ready to defend their homeland and the right to be the master of their own destiny.
“The victory of the Sandinista revolution opened the way for the people of Nicaragua to establish democracy. The socio-economic development of the country, its achievements in various fields, its worthy place and important role among other countries of the world community - all this has been achieved thanks to the victorious revolution. The ideals of the Sandinista Revolution are the most reliable guidelines on the way to prosperity and a happy future for the Nicaraguan people," the message of congratulations reads.
The President expressed confidence that the relations of friendship and cooperation between South Ossetia and Nicaragua would be strengthened, filled with new content and dynamically developed in the interests of both countries.
