The international round table “Abkhazia and South Ossetia. 15 years of recognition by the Russian Federation of the independence of the republics. Experience and Prospects,” was held at the Pridnestrovian State University.
The event was initiated by the official representations of Abkhazia and South Ossetia in Pridnestrovie.
According to the press service of the representative office of the Republic of South Ossetia, the meeting was held in a combined format.
“As noted by the diplomatic organization, during the meeting were discussed the issues of the current state and prospects for the development of the statehood of Abkhazia and South Ossetia, the parallels of the state development of Pridnestrovie, South Ossetia and Abkhazia,” the press service said.
For the South Ossetia part, Minister of Foreign Affairs Akhsar Dzhioev, ex-presidents Ludwig Chibirov and Leonid Tibilov, State Adviser to the President Konstantin Kochiev, head of the official representative office of the Republic of South Ossetia in the PMR Vitaly Yankovsky took part in the work of the round table and made welcoming addresses.
A round table was organized and held by the "Center for the Study of Peacekeeping" PSU.
