South Ossetia handed over the border violator to Georgia

A resident of Georgia, detained in November for violating the state border of South Ossetia, was expelled from the Republic on Tuesday, the press service of the KGB of the Republic of South Ossetia reports.

“On November 24, 2023, for illegally crossing the state border of the Republic of South Ossetia, employees of the South Ossetian border authorities detained a citizen of Georgia, Korinteli Khvicha Dimitrievich, born in 1971, a resident of the village of Adzvi, Gori municipality. It was established that the violator under the influence of alcohol crossed the state border of the Republic of South Ossetia with Georgia in the vicinity of the village of Adzysar, Tskhinval district,” the statement of the press service reads.

During the investigation, Korinteli fully admitted his guilt and repented of his actions.

“On December 5, taking into account the state of health of the detainee, as well as based on humanitarian considerations, Korinteli, in accordance with Article 14 of the Law of the Republic “On the State Border,” was expelled from the Republic,” the press service has noted.
