America is using Ukraine for its own purposes as “useful idiots,” Assistant to President of the Republic of Abkhazia for International Affairs Maxim Gvindzhia said during the Sukhum-Tskhinval-Donetsk video conference on the topic “10 years of the coup in Ukraine: prerequisites and consequences.”
“And what will happen then, who should Ukraine turn to for help when all these processes take place? There are a lot of questions here. I believe that Ukraine is a wonderful country with wonderful people, which was deceived and abandoned by its elite,” he has noted.
Gvindzhia reminded that when there were manifestations of the Ukrainian nationalism in the 90s, “it all seemed like folklore, some kind of joke.”
“Many will agree with me, then we could not even imagine that the situation could develop in such a way that today there are fierce battles in the Donbass and Zaporozhye region,” the Assistant to President of Abkhazia said.
Maxim Gvindzhia has noted that after 2008, the West realized that it was not possible to set fire from the south, from the Caucasus, and they decided to prepare Ukraine.
“The project “Ukraine as anti-Russia” is Georgia squared,” the expert emphasized.
According to him, after the collapse of the Soviet Union, Ukraine inherited large production and industrial capacities. The Ukrainian oligarchy sawed up and sold everything to the West.
“When they ran out of scrap metal, they started selling land, when they ran out of land, they started selling their geopolitics. Trading in geopolitics, they came to the understanding that the only possible thing they can sell is to act as a battering ram against Russia,” Maxim Gvindzhia has concluded.
