In the Tskhinval secondary school No. 6 on Monday, the opening of the “Hero’s Desk” took place in memory of the graduates of the educational institution, Aivengo Tekhov and Alan Dzhioev, perished during the special military operation .
The “Hero’s Desk” is a student’s desk on which is placed a photograph of the Hero, information about the facts of his biography and merits.
The right to open the “Desk of Heroes” was granted to the relatives and friends of the victims.
The school director Yurina Gazzaeva called such events important in perpetuating the memory of heroes.
“This is a very important event, because our younger generation should remember our heroes. Children need to know that they sacrificed their lives for peace. Eternal glory to the Heroes!” said the director.
Chairman of the Nykhas party Zita Besayeva, has emphasized that South Ossetia is proud of its worthy sons.
“You continued the relay race that took place in Russia, this is a patriotic project dedicated to our heroes, and thank you for that. South Ossetia is proud of its sons. Thank them very much for their courage and heroism. The younger generation must remember their heroes and preserve their memory,” Besayeva has noted.
Alan Dzhioeva’s sister Albina also noted the need to hold such events so that the younger generation knows the heroes of their country.
“My mother raised my brother to be a true Ossetian and a patriot. The teachers of this school also contributed to his becoming a worthy representative of his people. My brother knew where he was going, but he did not doubt his decision. He showed himself worthy and became a hero. Thanks to everyone who gathered here, to those who organized this event,”the Hero’s sister said .
The memory of all the heroes perished in the special military operation was honored with a minute of silence.
At the event, children recited poems dedicated to the defenders of the Fatherland.
Songs about the deeds of heroes were also sung.
The event was attended by Minister of Education and Science of the Republic Aslan Lolaev, Counselor of the Russian Embassy in the Republic of South Ossetia Mikhail Bolotov, relatives and friends of the victims, Deputy Chairman of the Republican Council of Veterans Giya Driaev and others.
Aivengo Tekhov and Alan Dzhioev were awarded the Defender of the Fatherland medal posthumously.
The event continued with the evening in memory of Aivengo Tekhov.
