Two Georgian citizens who have recently violated the state border of South Ossetia will be handed over to the Georgian side without penalties.
According to the press service of the KGB of the Republic of South Ossetia, the corresponding decision has made by the department’s border service due to the fact that both violators have mental health problems.
“On March 4, 2024, for illegally crossing the state border of the Republic of South Ossetia, employees of the South Ossetian border authorities detained the Georgian citizens Georgiy Givievich Baliashvili, born in 1986, and Nodar Malkhazovich Bibilashvili, born in 1996, residents of the villages of Ruisi, Karelian municipality, and Patara Medzhvriskhevi Gori municipality," the statement of the press service reads.
It has been established that Baliashvili crossed the state border of South Ossetia with Georgia on the southern outskirts of Tskhinval, and Bibilashvili in the vicinity of the settlement of Grom, Tskhinval district.
