On Thursday, Tskhinval saw off Romeo Pliev, a serviceman from the 4th Russian military base and a native of South Ossetia, on his final journey.
Representatives of the Republic's leadership, ministries, departments, the deputy corps, representatives of the Russian Embassy, the 4th base of the Russian Federation, and Pliev's relatives and friends came to bid farewell to the soldier.
"As soon as military actions began on the land of Donbass, Romeo immediately went there. He wanted to help the people who faced the same thing that we did many years ago. There are no without losses in any war. Unfortunately, we lost such a wonderful friend as Romeo," it was noted at the funeral rally.
Pliev's relatives thanked everyone who came to bid farewell to him.
The deceased was 44 years old and left behind three children
