President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev has met with the Health Minister of Abkhazia Eduard Butba, who arrived in Tskhinval to participate in the II International Medical Conference, the press service of the head of state reported.
The meeting was also attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Abkhazia to South Ossetia Alan Elbakiev and the head of the Presidential Executive Office of the Republic of South Ossetia Alan Alborov.
According to the press service, Alan Gagloev warmly welcomed the guests from the fraternal republic and expressed confidence in further fruitful cooperation.
"Our peoples have had to go through many trials together. And now, in this difficult time, the fighters of South Ossetia and Abkhazia, together with the multinational people of the Russian Federation, are defending our common history, our values. South Ossetia and Abkhazia, together with their strategic partner, Russia, are building a stable future. South Ossetia is determined to strengthen the fraternal relations that have developed between our peoples. We will continue to move forward with confidence,” he said.
In his speech, the President has also noted that the interaction of states in the field of healthcare at such an international platform is an excellent opportunity to improve medical approaches.
“The development of such a vital area as healthcare is one of the key areas in the policy of any state. We must pay special attention to the health of the nation, because our future lies behind it,” the head of state emphasized.
“I would also like to take this opportunity to convey words of greeting and best wishes to the head of the Abkhazian state, Aslan Georgievich Bzhania, and to the entire fraternal people of Abkhazia,” Alan Gagloev said.
In turn, Eduard Butba emphasized the importance of holding the II International Medical Conference for the entire general social block of states.
"Such a landing of doctors, scientists, and healthcare specialists, headed by the Health Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Murashko, provides all the opportunities for the development of this important area. We are ready for cooperation. We have many joint plans in the healthcare sector. Together with Thomas Dzhigkaev, we will be developing a strategy for increasing efforts in our common craft," Eduard Butba said.
At the end of the meeting, Alan Gagloev presented the guests with memorable gifts.
