The Ossetian flag united the nation and led the way, in a short time becoming a recognized unifying and representative symbol of Alania. This is stated in the address of President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev on the occasion of the celebration of the Day of the State Flag.
Gagloev has emphasized that the white-red-yellow Alanian tricolor was recreated by participants in the movement to protect the rights of the people of South Ossetia.
"The three colors of the national flag symbolize the embodiment of justice and spiritual purity, military courage and readiness to defend the Motherland, the energy of labor and creation for the benefit of our beautiful country, this is the foundation on which our past, present and future are based," the address says.
"The colors of the flag - white, red and yellow, going back to the deep roots of the national tradition and filled with high meaning, continuing to preserve and pass on the cultural code of the people from generation to generation, have found new life in the modern flag of Alania, which embodies the sovereignty and statehood of our country," the leader of the Republic of South Ossetia continued.
He has also noted that the national tricolor is the image of the ideals, hopes and aspirations of our people, the image of a dream of well-being, prosperity and happiness under the peaceful sky of Alania.
"This is how we see it and this is how it will continue to lead us to new goals for the well-being of our Fatherland!
I am confident that the State Flag will always be a sacred symbol for all generations of our citizens, evoking a sense of pride in their country, calling for unity and purity of thoughts, inspiring military exploits, labor achievements, storming new heights in sports, in the field of culture and art, in science and economy," the President said.
He wished that the beautiful Ossetian flag would forever fly over Alania, which would lead the people to new victories and achievements.
