Tbilisi, using non-existent terminology and facts, rhetoric far from reality, demonstrates that the past does not let go of Georgia and the Georgian politicians. This was stated by the South Ossetian Foreign Ministry, commenting on the speech of еру Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze at the UN General Assembly.

The Foreign Ministry has emphasized that, unfortunately, the position of еру official Tbilisi has not undergone any fundamental changes in relation to South Ossetia and Abkhazia.

"The position of South Ossetia is known, and it has been repeatedly voiced over many years. The signing of a legally binding document on security guarantees by Georgia with South Ossetia remains the key one. At the same time, we proceed from the need to recognize the existing geopolitical realities that have developed in the region since August 2008,” the RSO Foreign Ministry has noted.

The Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, during his speech at the 79th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, appealed to the population of Abkhazia and South Ossetia with to live in a single developed Georgian state.
