Representatives of the Coordinating Council of the Organization of Russian Compatriots from South Ossetia took part in the conference "Russian Diaspora. Realities and Prospects" in the capital of Belarus - Minsk.
As reported by one of the representatives of South Ossetia Nadezhda Rassokhina to IA "Res", at the conference she presented a report in which she noted the close interaction of compatriots' organizations with the authorities of South Ossetia in order to promote the development of interstate, cultural and humanitarian dialogue, the preservation of moral guidelines and traditional values.
"I told that we hold numerous cultural events, conferences, seminars, meetings, festivals, competitions, thematic exhibitions jointly with the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo and the Russian Embassy in the Republic. I has also emphasized that the South Ossetian government welcomes absolutely all proposals for the implementation of the plan of activities of compatriots' organizations, and all departments that are included in the subject of the events are actively involved," Rassokhina said.
She expressed gratitude to the Russian Embassy in South Ossetia, represented by Marat Kulakhmetov, and the head of the Russian House in Tskhinval, Sergei Komissarov, for the assistance regularly provided to the Russian compatriots.
As added bt Rassokhina, the conference in Minsk has become part of the preparation for the World Congress of Compatriots, which will be held in Moscow at the end of October.
The delegation from South Ossetia has also included Anzhelika Bukovskaya, Lyana Khetagurova, and Alena Khachaturova.
