South Ossetia counts on further fruitful work with Russia within the framework of the agreements concluded between the two countries, the head of the republic's Ministry of Foreign Affairs Akhsar Dzhioev noted during the meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov.
"We are grateful to you personally, Sergey Viktorovich, and to the leadership of Russia for the assistance and support that you provide to South Ossetia, the people of South Ossetia. For assistance in the formation and development of the statehood, socio-economic development," the Minister's press service quotes him as saying.
Dzhioev has expressed gratitude to Lavrov for not deviating from the positions that the Russian Federation - the leadership of Russia adopted in 2008.
"This is very important for us," he has noted. - We are supporting the special military operation that Russia is conducting. For us, this is a common struggle."
The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has added that the Republic is not changing its historical path of development.
"I would like to convey the words of greeting and best wishes on behalf of President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev. We count on further fruitful work within the framework of the agreements concluded between our countries,"- Akhsar Dzhioev said.
