Bilateral consultations of representatives of the councils of young diplomats of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia and Russia took place on Friday as part of the VIII Eurasian Forum, the press service of the Foreign Ministry reported.
“The colleagues discussed areas of cooperation in the format of the Council of Young Diplomats and expressed hope for further fruitful interaction. On the final day of the Forum, a ceremony of joining the International Association of Young Diplomats was also held,” the press service has noted.
It was added that Chairmen of the councils of young diplomats of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia and Russia, Aleksey Sanakoev and Konstantin Kolpakov, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation between the organizations.
The Forum was attended by more than 40 representatives from 15 countries of the world – Eurasian states. The event is organized by the Council of Young Diplomats of the Russian Foreign Ministry with the support of Rossotrudnichestvo. The Forum is being implemented within the framework of the concept of "horizontal diplomacy", which is designed to develop a network of informal communication platforms for young diplomats, government officials and experts.
