A brave, fearless fighter, a devoted friend. This is how the comrades of the Alania Battalion fighter Sergei Kabisov, call sign "CORAL", perished performing military duty as part of the special military operation in the Zaporizhye region, remembered him.
In Tskhinval, on Wednesday, Kabisov was seen off on his final journey.
The Republic's leadership, headed by President Alan Gagloev, Kabisov's comrades, and the public of the Republic came to pay last tributes to the warrior.
The command and personnel of the Alania Battalion noted that Sergei showed high professionalism and courage from the very beginning of his participation in the special military operation, and was a reliable and devoted friend and brother for each of the fighters.
"Along with each of us, he was fulfilling all the assigned combat tasks, extended a helping hand at the right moment, was always modest and responsive, and was respected by his comrades," the Alania battalion noted.
Kabisov was posthumously awarded the Medal "For Military Valor" of the 1st degree of the Defense Ministry of the Republic of South Ossetia.
The soldier was awarded the Medal "For Courage" by the decree of President of the Russian Federation, the Medal "Defender of the Fatherland" by the decree of President of the Republic of South Ossetia. Also, the Medal "For Courage" of the Luhansk People's Republic, the Medal "Internationalist Warrior" of the Donetsk People's Republic and medals of the Defense Ministry of South Ossetia "For Military Merit", etc.
By order of the Defense Ministry of the Republic of Abkhazia, he was awarded the Medal "Lieutenant General Kh.L. Kharazia".
Sergey Kabisov himself lost his father during the Georgian aggression in 1992. And now his three minor children are left without a father.
