The Embassy of South Ossetia in Russia is taking part in the International Science Fiction Symposium "Creating the Future", the press service of the diplomatic mission reports.
The symposium is being held as part of the implementation of the instructions of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The leader of the Russian Federation sent his greetings to the guests of the venue and called the symposium the first major event of the national center "Russia".
"I am convinced that, despite the current challenges that are we facing today, we must set ourselves tasks that are ahead of time, outline new directions for a breakthrough, and strive to look beyond the horizon of tomorrow," the press service quotes Putin as saying.
According to the head of the Russian Federation, each person should determine their own future based on a sovereign worldview, national culture, and tireless creative search.
The exhibition "Heritage for the Future" opened as part of the symposium, which supports the idea of a dialogue about the future, where man occupies a central place.
The Symposium is attended by the authoritative scientists, philosophers and futurologists, popular science fiction writers, representatives of business and creative industries from Russia, China, India, Italy, Iran, the UAE, Kazakhstan, Serbia, Switzerland, France, and the Netherlands.
Over three days, from November 4 to 6, more than 60 events will be held dedicated to four objects of research: the future of man, the future of technology, the future of a multipolar world, and the future of civilizations.
