The head of the National Bank of South Ossetia Soslan Bekoev spoke about his business trip to Abkhazia and his meeting with Chairman of the National Bank of Abkhazia Beslan Baratelia at the meeting with President Alan Gagloev.

The purpose of the trip was to establish close ties between the banking sectors of the two republics and discuss the possibility of establishing direct banking relations.
According to Bekoev, they discussed the joint work against the backdrop of international sanctions against a number of Russian banks, as well as the exchange of experience to strengthen financial stability and independence.
He has emphasized that such meetings allow developing new solutions to economic challenges and increasing the efficiency of the banking sector of South Ossetia.
As a sign of friendship and support, Beslan Baratelia presented President of South Ossetia with rare first banknotes of the Abkhazian bank. This gift symbolizes the growing financial ties between the republics and has become a memorable sign of cooperation, which, according to Soslan Bekoev, will contribute to the development of the economy of both sides.
