President Alan Gagloev held a meeting with the head of the Volgograd regional public organization of Ossetians "Alania" Baimat Bedoev, the press service of the head of state reports.
According to the press service, the meeting was also attended by member of the Public Chamber of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, DeputyDdirector of the Institute of History and Archeology of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania Kazbek Enaldiev and deputy of Parliament of the Republic of South Ossetia Alexander Pliev.
The head of state expressed gratitude to Baimat Bedoev for the active work of the public organization he heads.
"The organization has been taking an active part in the life of Ossetia. We are grateful to you for the work that you are doing far from your historical homeland. I cannot help but note that thanks to the initiative of the Ossetian community in Volgograd at the end of last year, a bust of the Soviet military leader, twice Hero of the Soviet Union Issa Pliev was installed. This is a significant event for all Ossetians. It is gratifying that our compatriot, Honored Artist of Russia Nikolai Dzukaev was also working on the sculpture,” Alan Gagloev’s press service quotes him as saying.
For his great contribution to strengthening friendship and cooperation between peoples and active work in promoting the Ossetian spiritual and cultural traditions and in connection with his 55th birthday, the President awarded the Order of Friendship to Baimat Bedoev.
In turn, Baimat Bedoev thanked Alan Gagloev for his attention and wished the head of state, as well as all the people of Ossetia, peace and prosperity.
