Chairman of the Republic of South Ossetia Yuri Morozov has recently returned from business trip to Moscow. Commenting the results of the trip to the correspondent of agency “Res”, he said that the main reason of the trip were negotiations with the Russian investors – potential investors into the economy of RSO. Besides that, Yuri Morozov signed an agreement to construct in the Republic relay communications system. That would allow to have a higher quality telecommunications and decrease the costs of long-distance calls. The new telecommunication will start being used from the end of the current month.
According to Morozov : “Negotiations were carried out with Gazprom leadership on construction of gas pipeline Dzuarikau-Tskhinval. The projecting works have been already completed and from August 2006 works on construction of the pipeline will be started. It is planned to complete the works by the end of the third quarter of 2007”. Yuri Morozov concluded that during the trip a lot of attention was paid to social and economic development of the Republic and rehabilitation of national economy.
