On the diversion occurred last nights the RSO President Eduard Kokoity made a statement:
“We regret that the Georgian side together with its puppet leadership perceived our peaceful initiatives and proposal to carry on with the negotiation process in this way.
Despite the active military policy of Georgia, we will continue reforms in our armed forces. We will insist on keeping the existing format of the negotiation process. Georgia should know that if its policy towards the Republic of South Ossetia remains the same, the retaliation will be tough and merciless. Every Georgian soldier should know that there will be a day when he will have to answer for every killed and wounded staff of the law-enforcement bodies of South Ossetia and for every peacekeeper.
We again appeal to the Georgian side to refrain from provocations and sit down at the negotiation table”.
The RSO President tasked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the RSO to organize a meeting with the Ambassador of Russia to Georgia Vyacheslav Kovalenko as well as with the Heads of International Organizations.
