The President of the Republic of South Ossetia Eduard Kokoity met the members of delegation which recently been in Brussels and took part in the hearings in Europarliament. The delegation consisted of the Leader of Patriotic Youth Union «IR» of RSO Alexey Sanakoev, an English language teacher Tamara Terashvili and the deputy of the Youth Parliament of RSO) Alena Gagloeva. In the beginning of the meeting Eduard Kokoity thanked the young people for their fruitful work. «Your speeches draw attention both the officials and leading international mass media. You impressed the fraction deputies. We have already received invitations from the other Europarliament fractions to take a floor and they also asked us to permit them to visit RSO»-underlined the President.
Edurd Kokoity emphasized the importance of cooperation with international organizations. «We should be in touch with European Parliament to inform the international community about us, of the roistering, committed with the people living at our territory and the present situation in RSO»-said the President.
«It is not profitable for the Georgian-Ossetian conflict settlement to see and listen to South Ossetia through Tbilisi. Obviously you yourselves noticed lack of information in Europe about the developments in South Ossetia»-continued Eduard Kokoity.
Then Eduard Kokoity gave a floor to the participants of hearings in Europarliament who shared with their impressions of their trip.
According to Alexey Sanakoev the delegation was warmly welcomed in Europarliament and their speeches were listened carefully.
«It was decided to continue mutual cooperation as one meeting is of course not enough. We also suggested establishing a group in Europarliament on the problems of South Ossetia. This initiative was supported and obviously our interaction will continue»-said Alexey Sanakoev.
Tamara Terishvili characterized this trip as an informational breakthrough. «In my speech I have mentioned that children in schools in South Ossetia are fostering in the spirit of democratic society. And I was surprised that all the literature about South Ossetia was of interest to them. And of course I disclosed that all the rumors that Georgians are keep down is an outrageous lie»-she added.
Alena Gagloeva, whose parents died during the beastly genocide act from the Georgian side-Zar tragedy also made a speech in Europarliament. «Perhaps my appearance have been too emotional, but I could not restrain my feelings. It turn out that my speech was mostly devoted to genocide committed by Georgia over Ossetian people. I have told about the Zar tragedy, about buried alive people in Eredvi and the atrocities of Georgian paramilitaries».
In the conclusion of the meeting Eduard Kokoity once again thanked the young people and noted that this achievement has activated the efforts of our opponents aimed at derivation of attention from the problems of South Ossetia. «Nonetheless this process impossible to stop. The situation has changed presently and we will have possibility to display to international community our stand and of course perfect grounds for recognition of the Republic of south Ossetia»-concluded the President Eduard Kokoity.
