The cases of detained Georgians will be brought before the court

The law enforcement bodies of the Republic of South Ossetia continue investigation in regard to two Georgians Demuri Chikhladze and David Kapanapze detained on the territory of RSO on 27 February. As reported by Investigation department of RSO Ministry of Interior, “on 28 February, a criminal case had been commenced against Kapanadze and Chikhladze according to Art.22, Part 2 of RF Criminal Code (illegal acquisition, traffic, storage, transportation of explosives devises, by a group of people). “Kapanadze and Chikhladze had partly admitted their guilt and gave their testimonies recorded in a protocol. Enough evidence had been collected to prove their guilt. The investigation is ongoing and materials to be forwarded to the court are being prepared. The accused persons are provided with a lawyer”, says the report.
Currently, “investigation measures are being carried out to verify if these persons were involved in terrorist attacks committed in the territory of RSO."
