RSO Central Election Commission: "Observers will be working in accordance with the international law norms"

More than 50 observers from 10 states will arrive to monitor the RSO Parliamentary election on 31 May, told the Chairperson of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Bella Plieva.
"Observance of legitimacy at Parliamentary election will be monitored by more than 50 observers from 10 states. To cover the election, 100 Russian and foreign journalists are arriving in South Ossetia. This is an important event in the political life of the Republic of South Ossetia. It is clear that the population expects a lot from the election and understand its significance as aonther step forward in the development of the South Ossetian statehood," said Bella Plieva.
He also informed that tomorrow on 28 May, an Informational Center "Parliamentary Election 2009" will be opened in the capital city of South Ossetia. The RSO President Eduard Kokoity, RSO Foreign Minister Murat Djioev, Press and Media Minister Irina Gagloeva and other officials will participate in the opening ceremony.
According to the RSO Press and Media Minister Irina Gagloeva, "the Informational Center will be opened to cover the process, interim and final voting results of the RSO Parliament election".
The Informational Center will be working from 28 May till 1 June for hourly publication of interim voting results. Representatives of political parties and public associations, international organizations, experts and international observers will be participating in the work of the Center. A hot-line will be operating within the frames of the press-center to ensure communication of voters with the CEC.
