On 22 January, a working meeting of the Special Representative for Post-Conflict Settlement Boris Chochiev and Foreign Minister Murat Djioev with the official delegation of the Geneva Discussions’ Co-Chairs took place. During the meeting, the sides discussed issues related to all aspects of the Geneva talks, including the problems to be discussed at the 9th round. In the light of the increasing military presence of Georgia along the boundary-line with South Ossetia, in the opinion of the South Ossetian participants to the discussions, the necessity to prepare a draft paper on non-use of force against South Ossetia by the Georgian side should become the top priority. The State Advisor to the President Kost Kochiev, HR Commissioner David Sanakoev and Deputy Special Representative for Post-Conflict Settlement Merab Chigoev have also participated in the meeting.
