Over 15 Russian ministries and governmental agencies are participants to the Inter-Agency Humanitarian Action (IAHA). As Deputy Prime Minister Domenty Kulumbegov told IA RES, each of the agencies assess the situation to identify problems and make plans for the problem settlement. "Similar actions bring hope to hearts of the Republic's residents, they help in revival of the state and settlement of problems in the social, cultural and other spheres", underlined Kulumbegov.
According to him, several events would be organized within the Action. "The primary thing is to provide medical assistance to the residents of borderline areas in Leningor and Znaur districts of South Ossetia. Some cultural events will also take place", he said. He underlined that South Ossetia always felt the support coming from Russia. "Thanks to Russia's help and brave and resolute step taken by its leadership, August 2008 ended with independence of our state. After that, the relations are developing between our states in various spheres. Without exaggeration, the assistance of Russia is invaluable", underscored Kulumbegov. He pointed to the symbolism in this humanitarian action held on the Day of the State Flag of the RF and close to the date of South Ossetia's recognition. On behalf of the president, he expressed gratitude to the participants and organizers of the action.
It is worth reminding that yesterday, the Interagency Humanitarian Action "Mutual Assistance, Cooperation and Security" was launched in South Ossetia. The Action is conducted by the Border-Guard Service of Russia.
