Close working relations between the Prosecutor's Offices of the RF and South Ossetia contribute to stabilization in the work against criminality, stated the first Deputy Prosecutor General of South Ossetia Eldar Kokoev. According to him, Russian specialists provided an invaluable support in the disclosure of crimes committed by Georgian aggressors against humanity on the territory of South Ossetia.
"Today, working side by side with the staff of the Prosecutor General's Office of Russia to reveal the facts of embezzlement of funds allocated for rehabilitation of the Republic, we see that these are true professionals", underlined Kokoev. "The experience in practical interaction with these specialists could hardly be overestimated".
The Deputy Prosecutor General emphasized that good working relations between the heads of the two Offices significantly help harmonize the joint work. "Thanks to personal contacts between South Ossetia's Prosecutor General Taimuraz Khugaev and the RF Prosecutor General Yuriy Chaika, the investigations by law enforcement bodies progressed", underlined Kokoev. "A clear proof of appreciation of the RF Prosecutor General's contribution to our well-organized joint work was the South Ossetian president's decree on awarding the RF Prosecutor General with the Order of Honor". On 17 February, the South Ossetian President signed a decree on awarding the RF Prosecutor General Yuriy Chaika with the Order of Honor "For Contribution to Peace in the Caucasus, for organization of the investigation of crimes against the people of South Ossetia committed by Georgian aggressors in August 2008 and for significant input to the development of the law enforcement system of South Ossetia".
