The issue of crossing the Georgian-Ossetian border has been discussed at the meeting within the framework of Mechanism on prevention and reaction on incidents (MPRI). Deputy Representative of the President of South Ossetia for after the conflict regulation Merab Chigoev has informed IA «RES».

"There has been a question on the agenda of the meeting of the simplified way of crossing the border for the persons, who need for urgent medical help, students, teachers and old people. We have reported, that there are not any students in South Ossetia, except Leningorsky region of RSO, who learn in Georgian high schools, teachers, who teach at schools on the territory of Georgia and people, who need for medical help, can leave in Georgia by the mediation of the Red Cross, and in this connection there is no need to set up the simplified regime", - has noted Chigoev.
He has emphasized, that the inhabitants of Leningorsky region of RSO can cross the georgian-ossetian border without any obstacles.
"The problems in this question to the population are made only by the Georgian side, which has hung the official announcement about that it is necessary to notify of the plan of crossing the border for 10 days before. So we have appealed to the Georgian side to simplify these measures", - has emphasized Chigoev.
The issue of supplying the Leningorsky region with gas from the territory of Georgia has been also discussed at the meeting within the framework of Mechanism on prevention and reaction on incidents (MPRI).
"We have raised again the question of gas supplying of Leningorsky region. In spite of the promises from the Georgian side, the gas to Leningorsky region is not given yet. And the responsibility for the consequences, including, if the inhabitants of some districts of Georgia will not be able to get irrigation water, lies on the Georgian side. This will occur only therefore that the Georgian side does not go toward us and does not want to solve even the humanitarian problems", - has concluded the Deputy Representative.
At the meetings have been also discussing the organizing questions, the issues of exchanging the citizens of Georgia and South Ossetia who had been detained on the adjacent side, safety of the people in the frontier zone and the other ones.
Remind, the meeting within the framework of MPRI has been taken place today in Ergneti. The following meeting is scheduled for April 7 2011.
