Geographically remote location of South Ossetia and Venezuela does not prevent the friendship and cooperation between these states. It has been declared by Eduard Kokoity in the course of the meeting with the plenipotentiary ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in RSO Hugo Jose Garcia Hernandez in Tskhinval.
"Geographical distance between our countries is not an obstacle for friendship between our people", - has declared Kokoity. He has noted that it is necessary for people of South Ossetia and Venezuela to study the culture and the traditions of each other.
"It is necessary to study more thoroughly the culture and the traditions of our people. What draws people together – is love of freedom. And usually the freedom-loving are those people, who have great historical traditions. Exactly this direction will develop the friendship between our people", - has emphasized the president of RSO.
In turn, the ambassador of Venezuela Hugo Jose Garcia Hernandez has supported this idea and has expressed the hope that remoteness of RSO and Venezuela will not disturb the close-fitting intergovernmental contacts.
"As you have noticed, we are similar in a great deal of things, and, definitely, in the modern intergovernmental relations the geographical distance is not an obstacle", - has noted the ambassador.
At the meeting of the ambassador of Venezuela Hugo Jose Garcia Hernandez and the President of RSO Eduard Kokoity were also presented the Foreign Secretary of RSO Murat Dzhioev and the ambassador of RSO in the RF Dmitry Medoev.
We shall remind that the plenipotentiary ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in the Republic of South Ossetia mister Hugo Jose Garcia Hernandez is in Tskhinval with working visit. It have been already taken place the meetings with the Foreign Secretary of RSO Murat Dzhioev and the President of RSO Eduard Kokoity within the framework of the visit. Also today it will take place the meeting of the ambassador with the deputies of the Parliament of RSO. The Ambassador Hernandez will stay in the Republic from 24 till March 27, 2011.
