Every day the activity of citizens involved in the pre-election process in South Ossetia increases. 13 candidates for the Presidency have already been registered. No one can foresee their final quantity. These elections – is an important political examination for the people of South Ossetia, considering that we the first time conduct them in our recognized state.
People are waiting for changes in our state and the next leader cautiously. The Republic needs social reforms, first of all - in the economy and social policy. The next president should implement these reforms. At the same time, the forthcoming election – is an important political step for strengthening and formation of the South-Ossetian statehood. We should also think about the international image of our country. It is wrong to think that no one, except us, is interested in this process. Many countries are observing attentively the processes in South Ossetia, accurately fixing all our lacks and errors. Therefore we should display that we observe all democratic standards and keep the Law. And the main thing is – that we should give the chance to the people to make their choice. To elect the dignified president is possible in the issue of fair, democratic elections.
