Alumni of judo section of the village Bekmar in Znaur District of South Ossetia Shaverdov Inal, Murat Bikoev and Arthur Jagaev won the first and two third places respectively in the open championship of the city of Vladikavkaz among the Sambo athletes, born in 2000-2003. This has been reported to IA "Res" by the coach of the athletes Dmitry Kotaev. "The competition took place in the capital of North Ossetia, December 24, 2001. Shaverdov was fighting in the weight category 26 kg. On the way to the final, he had three fights, which he defeated on points. And in the final fight our champion after a successful putting on a spurt, won a clear victory ", - Kotaev said. According to him, the other alumnus Bikoev was fighting in the weight category to 36 kg.
"In the preliminary matches, he scored off on points. However, in another fight he conceded victory with a slight advantage to his more experienced opponent, who subsequently became a champion in this weight class, - the coach told. - Then, in a fight for the third place, Bikoev gained a convincing victory on points and won the bronze medal in this tournament."
The third alumnus of Kotaev, Arthur Jagaev (weight category to 39 kg), also won the bronze medal. "Jagaev has also won on points in the three preliminary bouts. Unfortunately, in the next fight he was defeated. But then in his fifth bout our champion scored off his rival because of an obvious advantage and also took the third place"- the coach added.
According to Kotaev, he was pleased with performance of his alumni, who in spite of relatively small length of coaching have shown themselves in the best way.
