Today representatives of South Ossetia have left for Moscow, where they will participate in the IIId International song and poetry contest "Cranes over Russia," which will be held from February18- 20. The South Ossetian talents have got such opportunity owing to support of the Mission of Russian Cooperation in the RSO and the Union of Russian citizens in South Ossetia.
As reported to IA "Res" by Chairman of the Union of Russian citizens, Natalia Zhujkova, the South Ossetian delegation consists of three people who will be presenting at the contest original songs and poems on the theme of love for the great Russia. "Our Republic will be represented by a pupil of the 9 grade, school № 2 Fatima Kabulovа, a winner of the contest "Yabloko Nartov", a finalist of the radio-television contest "Stalyty ferttyvd", the author of several songs, a singer and Zarina Dzhabieva, the author of poems and songs, telling of sufferings of people of South Ossetia. The delegation is led by a teacher and organizer of the school № 2 Olga Mikhaylidi"- Zhujkova has clarified. She has said, participation of South Ossetian talents in the competition is of great importance, as it is held with the aim of educating the youth in the spirit of patriotism, respect for the history, traditions and culture of multinational Russia, as well as revealing and support of brilliant young talents. "Representatives of South Ossetia are for the first time invited to the competition "Cranes over Russia." The festival is dedicated to the memory of soldiers of the Great Patriotic War; it will promote among the youth a sense of pride in the heroic past of the homeland, responsibility and patriotism. Special juries prize "Friendship praise brought us together against fascism" was established, for the winners "- Zhujkova added. It should be noted that the International song and poetry contest "Cranes over Russia" is held for the third year on the initiative of the Moscow State University of Culture and Arts and the Assembly of Peoples of Russia with support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Russian Cooperation Mission and other organizations. Master-classes of prominent figures of culture and art are also held in the course of the competition.
