Athletes of the Federation on Kyokushinkai karate of South Ossetia are participating in the fourth open for children and youth games of martial arts of the Republic of North Ossetia - Alania.
This has been said to IA "Res" by the head coach of the federation Vladimir Sozaev.
"The tournament is being held in Vladikavkaz. The competition is attended by athletes of several age groups: children of 8-9 years old, 10-11 years old, boys and girls of 12-13, 14-15 years old and juniors of 16-17 years old ", - said Sozaev.
According to him, this is the first performance of the South Ossetian fighters outside the Republic.
"Our athletes are naturally a little worried, but determined to provetheir worth in these competitions and be back to Tskhinval with medals. Our fighters will be performing in competitions on Kyokushinkai karate ", - added the coach.
According to him, in addition to Kyokushinkai karate within the frames of the competition are also being held such types of martial arts as Thai boxing, martial arts, Kudo, jiu-jitsu, kickboxing, etc.
The coach has noted that in the tournament South Ossetia is represented by Dmitry Gazzaev, Arsen Dzhioev, Dzhambolat Tigiev, Azamat Dzigoev, Vadim Dzhigkaev, Elina Lalieva, and Christina Zhuravleva.
